Over 3 million euros is available to support islands with their energy transition ambitions.
Started in October 2019, the European Islands Facility NESOI has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Framework Programme for Research and Innovation under grant agreement n°864266 in order to support the EU islands energy transition process, facilitating the decentralization of energy systems and contributing to EU policy in achieving 2030 climate targets by unlocking the potential of EU islands to become the locomotives of European Energy Transition, mobilizing investments in sustainable energy projects to an audience of 2.400 inhabited EU islands.
We are glad to support our sister project to make islands’ decarbonization a reality and to announce that the first NESOI Open Call for project for islands is open!
The total EU funding available for the call is €1.560.000 with a maximum grant amount per proposal/beneficiary of €60.000 grant. In addition to this, €60.000 worth of Technical Assistance will be provided directly by the NESOI experts team.
The first NESOI open call closes on 18 December 2020!
